Haha Soooo .....I have this dilemma! So I met this guy a few weeks ago or so, and he is like, everything that I could possibly want in a guy! Amazing guy. Super hard worker, happy, friendly, easy to talk to, fun, spiritual, loves missionary work, very much his sibling's favorite (aka great brother friend).....
BUT.....I found out that he is 4 1/2 years YOUNGER than me!!!! Geesh.
What do I do?? Is that way too much younger? I would logically say ABSOLUTELY way too young. But every time I see him and what not, I think, Wow. He is awesome. Now, he hasn't acted interested or even tried asking me out, so maybe I am jumping the gun here, but I guess I'm wondering if I should even flirt with him at all.
What do you think? Advice please. Ha!

I'd definitely give it a chance! Get to know each other better and see if the age difference matters in how you get along, if not I don't think 4 1/2 years matters! :)
Age only matters if he's in Highschool.. or a minor!:) If he is mature, well then, does it matter?:)
I'm gonna say ABSOLUTELY give it a chance! If maturity is not a problem, I am personally all for younger men with older women. After all, men on average die before women do, and don't you want to spend as much time with your spouse on this earth as possible? ;) Also, all of my aunts are at least 4 years older than my uncles and they have great marriages. My mom is 5 years older than my dad and I would say it worked for them.
I've dated guys two years younger than me, and before she met my brother, my sister-in-law dated a guy who was around 5+ years younger than her. You like who you like. Definitely give it a chance :)
Shayna let out your inner cougar! It's so hot to date a younger guy ;). Ok I just had to say that. :D But I'm in total agreement here with these other wise ladies - especially Carey - since I know her and her mom. Carey's parents are amazing by the way and her mom is an inspiration. Didn't we have a conversation about this before? Go for it!

thanks for your advice, we will see what even happens if anything ha! i don't really know him super well so its hard to tell just how mature he really is..but thanks again! :) i'll have to just be his friend for awhile and kinda judge from there

i say go for it. but just make sure he can handle you. i dated a guy seven years older than me once and it was fine, but it was a little bit harder at times because of our differing maturity levels. it's also different cause he's a guy. but i say throw caution to the wind until he busts out his jonas brothers album and expects you to be excited.
He will keep you young. It is a little weird but I don't think that should stop you!
